A Prayer For Anxiety

 Dear Heavenly Father, 

I need you, Lord to take control of my mind. 

It feels as though my thoughts have gotten ahead of me. 
I confess I have allowed worry to consume me,
But, I remember You say I can cast my cares on You. 
That when anxiety comes to overtake me, 
That Your consolation can bring me joy instead.

Lord, take my thoughts captive and make the subject to You.
Grant me Your perfect peace so that my mind can remain steadfast on You.
Don't let the troubles of this world overcome me. 
Lord, they are nothing but vapor. I am reminded.

Lord, here are my thoughts. Here's what is bothering me. 
(Insert what you may weigh down with). 
I exchange it with you today. 
I exchange my worrisome word with Your Word. 

You will fight for me. (Exodus 14:14)
You will protect me, You are my refuge ( Psalm 91)
You will heal me. (Psalm 103). 
You will come through for me (Joshua 1:9)

God, please remove this feeling from me. 
This feeling of fear and worry. 
You have given me power and love and a sound mind. 
I take hold of that today. 

Power to trample over these thoughts. 
Love to overcome fear. 
A sound mind to drown out the chaos. 

In Jesus' Name
Amen.

Change The Environment!

  So my husband and I were having a bit of a mosquito problem. I found numerous bumps on my legs, but it puzzled me because I rarely go outside.  Thanks to COVID.  These mosquitos were living in our house. They were surviving in our house.  Now, if you know mosquitos, they require a certain kind of environment to thrive.  They would need a bushy area, preferably with puddles or swamps. So, it puzzled me how they were surviving here in my house where none of those things were. My husband later told me to take out the dishwater before bed. That if they needed water to live, then remove what is helping them.  Change the environment.  I have read that in order to get rid of something, you must change the environment or the atmosphere that it is comfortable in.  Eventually, it will have to move because it will not find a resting place there anymore.  Matthew 12:43-46 speaks on the impure spirit who abided in a person.   I know.   I know.  It's been a long time and so many things have happened that I need to share with you.   There's really no excuse for my absence other than life really taking drastic changes and me trying to maneuver in it. (I'll write a post about that later)  I want to know how everyone's has been? What's up?
