The Good One, The Right One, The One.

Image
It's love week! Happy  Valentine's Day to all of you! Today, I decided to stick to the theme of this week and give you this piece I had written a time back concerning relationships.  Now, if you're a real family of TheRay, you would know that I did have a portion on my Instagram @theraydestinys_ dedicated to relationship quotes and advice, but had slowed down completely.  Okay, I stopped.  But, that's mainly because I don't consider myself a relationship guru or a marriage counselor and I don't want to persuade anyone to think that my words were textbook factual. Even with this post, I want to put a disclaimer out there that I am not a relationship guru or marriage counselor. Please take these words of advice as just advice. If it works for you, then fine, but if not, leave it be. Let's get to it! The Good One, The Right One, and The One. I am sure that every one of us has experienced either one of these in a relationship before.  As I go into defining ea...

Prayer For Marriages

Image
Dear Heavenly Father,  Most Gracious and Everlasting God.  Your Word says who You put together let no man break asunder.  Today, I am lifting up marriages in prayer to You.  I ask that Your holy and divine will be done in each and every union. Bind them with cords that can not be broken.  Anoint them with fresh oil each and every morning.  Lord, cancel every negative word that has been spoken upon them.  Remove every situation or attack that has been sent to cause separation. I rebuke the plans of divorce and adultery.  I speak that love and respect will be restored in those marriages that have lacked it. I speak that faithfulness and a bond will be revived in them. Heavenly Father, I pray that husband and wife will be in submission to one another.  That they will not be unequally yoked.  Teach them to love one another and how to speak to one another. Most importantly, I pray that their marriage's foundation will be built on You, ...

Relationships Part Two-Eros Love

Image
This is the second part of my Relationship series.  It speaks on love in romantic relationships such as marriages.  Before marriage, of course, you love that person. You don't see yourself with anyone else besides them. Suddenly, they are all you are aware of.  After marriage, you really see the depth of love you have for them.  You see that it is a vulnerable place and it can scare you with the lengths you would go for that person.  This person -your partner, is just not another ordinary person in your life, but they are someone that you truly care deeply for.  Everything they do is magnetize to you. I am no marriage counselor, but I do believe that the way you treat your spouse is very important.  The quote says, are you ready to not only dream the same dream as them but help them achieve it? Being married signifies the two becoming one.  Not only sexually, but in everything you do.  The two of you must now move as one complete unit....

Relationships Before The Ring!

Image
Before I get started, I just want to say that this topic has been chosen by my Instagram family!  There has been a vote and this was one of the topics with the most votes. If you wish to have this privilege, please follow my IG page (@Raquels_Destiny). It's more active and you can DM, like, and comment as much as you want. You'll also be able to see inspirational posts every day.  When I got this topic, I immediately thought that this was a loaded one.  What are the viewers actually mean when they asked this one? Are they asking if having multiple relationships before the ring is okay? Or, are they asking about dating that person before the ring? So, I broke this down into a two-part series.  I would speak about having multiple relationships first.  In this world's society, it's hardly possible to not end up in a relationship with a person.  We're humans.  Built with emotions and feelings that we express through actions and words.  If you l...

Preparing Yourself for Marriage...

Image
In today's society, we see that marriage is a very important pillar that a lot of people lean towards and an equal amount leans away from.  It's a commitment between man and woman, not only physically but spiritually.  It's a long-lasting promise between two human beings to be together for better or for worse, for sickness and for health, for rich and for poorer until death does they part.  It's a big step in life and one must be fully understanding of this journey before agreeing to such a promise. Both of the genders, I noticed, look towards marriage in different views.  Young girls fantasize about their wedding day way before a young man can.  They think about the color scheme, their hairstyle, venue, and most importantly their dress.  In men's cases, they think more towards the marriage aspect of it. They surpass the day of the wedding and think about the duration of their life as a married man and if it is for them.  I want to say that the ...
