We Are Equal

Image
In this post, I want to speak to you about equality.  Spiritual equality, more so. There are many instances in our Christian journies where we may think that we are less than others regarding the venomous bite of comparison. Perhaps we aren't as fluent as so and so in prayer.  Or we don't speak as eloquently enough as our brother in Christ.  Maybe we aren't used in the prophetic department as much as our sister.  There may be a lot of things that we are unable to do as well as the next person, but this does not, in no way or form, makes us any less than those around us. In 1 Corinthians 12 , it speaks about the importance of the different parts of the body.  The body has many uniquely different parts. One part has another function and purpose than the other. The next one looks different from the other.  Even when one part is hurt or receiving pleasure, each part reacts differently to the pain or satisfaction. Yet, with all of the distinctions between...

There's More

Image
There has been something pressing in my spirit for a few days now and I have been trying to get it out of my mind, but it wouldn't shake me.  I felt the need that I have to share this with you because even as I begin to write, I feel the pressing begin to alleviate.  I want to tell you today that God says that "There is More"  He said that some of you are in a place in your life where you think that what has been given to you is all of it.  Yes, you appreciate the blessing, but you feel like there is something else.  God said that There is More! You thought that that was all He can do, but there is more He got in store. He said that He's not only going to bless you with it, but show you how to keep it.  He's not only going to show you salvation but how to stay on the path.  He's not only going to heal your body, but He's going to keep you healed.  He's going to keep fortifying the marriage that He restored.  He's going to keep granting...

Blessings In The Midst

Image
During my time in prayer, God and I were talking and I began to reflect that in the midst of what I was going through, He continued to bless me. He supplied everything I needed when I needed it the most.  It blew my mind because it was like I would feel my heart crave for it, or my spirit craved for it and I wouldn't even voice what it was I needed, but He sent it.  Just what I needed.  Immediately, I wanted to share this news with you guys.  I wanted to encourage someone that might be going through, that God still gives blessings in the midst! Now normally when I have a post, I like to associate it with a scripture or a verse and I originally didn't have anything of the sort because this was based on personal experience.  However, as I begin typing I begin to be reminded of a bible story and this is one we all know all too well.  It's the woman with the issue of blood.  I spoke about this a while back and it was called "Woman With the Issue of ...

Just The Way You Are!

Image
I was about to write my Fruit of The Month post, but I had this message burdened on my heart to release to you today.  God loves you and He thinks you're just okay! I was watching this Instagram reel the other day and this pastor was speaking about how a person who smoked was telling him that he wanted to be saved.  He said, "I want to be saved, but I smoke. Do I have to give up smoking?"  The pastor replied, "No"  The man was confused, and he reiterated, "No, I don't think you understand. I smoke pot"  The pastor replied, "You said you wanted to be saved, right?"  The man answered yes and the pastor said great. The man still confused asked again.  "Should I stop smoking because I want to be saved?"  The pastor replied, "No. Just get saved"  Now, I must admit that when the pastor first responded I was confused.  I was like, "Of course, he needs to stop smoking"  But, then the pastor continued and then I und...

Do It In Full!

Image
Matthew 13:44 "The Kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy, he sold all he had and bought that field." Do we understand what we have when accepting Jesus Christ into our lives? Do we understand the power that we accept? The love, or lineage we are now placed into when we call on Jesus' Name? Do we understand the power that we now have? If we know precisely the treasure and power we hold, then we'll understand this parable. Here's a man who had been wandering around and found something that surpasses every treasure he has ever seen.  Greater than rubies, more precious than gold. He had stumbled upon something that nothing in the entire world can be exchanged for it.  It was more powerful, greater than anything out there.  The parable said that he was so excited, he went out and trade everything that he once had and went and bought that field.  He understood that everything that he had in his pos...

A Pure Heart Is Still Required

Image
Matthew 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God"  Psalm 24:3-4 "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully" Another year we have made it and with all the excitement of seeing another 12 chapters, we also must take into consideration that it is shortening the time of when Christ shall return.  We do not know the day nor the hour, but I am aware that the clock started the moment Jesus ascended into Heaven. Where am I going with all of this? Well, we know in the last days that many men (humankind) will become lovers of themselves. We also know that our hearts will begin to wax cold.  Take this as a simple reminder to remember to keep your heart from such things.  A reminder to stay pure in the heart. As we go on throughout this year let us remember to keep clean hands.  God still requires us to love one anot...
