Let's Talk-Climate Change or Revelation Unfolding?

Image
I  had this question for some time now and I debated asking because I felt like it might come off as stupid. I know that the world is changing and the more years go by, we don't only age but so does the earth.  There are so many things that are happening on this earth that we can no longer turn a blind eye. Just because it may not be happening in our region doesn't mean that we wouldn't be affected by it. However, the more I learn about Climate change, the more I can't help but think about the Book of Revelation.  There are just so many things that are happening today that we classify as climate change that can also be an indication of what was said in Revelation.  Not only in Revelation but also in what the prophet Isaiah had proclaimed.  I would like to know what are your thoughts on it.  Is it the same or am I completely wrong?

Prayer For Wisdom

Image
Dear Heavenly Father,  Lord, You are God and besides You, there is no other! You are He who was and is and is to come. When You speak Lord, the earth moves, and Heavens bow! Your Word says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.  Lord, Your Word continues to say that we must turn our hearts to this wisdom.  That we should seek it and ask it for direction in our lives.  Lord, today I am asking for Your wisdom.  For Your wise counsel to teach me the path in which I should go.  Order my steps dear Lord. Lord, I am asking for Your wisdom for the decisions in my life.  And your knowledge so that I might know what is of you and what is not pertaining to the way You want me to go.  I do not want to go based on my own knowledge, my own wisdom, Because I know that on my own I am unable to execute or even go the right way. Lord, let me not be destroyed by my lack of it.  Anoint me w...

Do You Have These Fruits?-Long Suffering

Image
This month's fruit is:  Long-Suffering.  In the Greek translation, it is Makrothumia which means patient, forbearance, and fortified.  Usually, this fruit is the least appealing. No one would want any parts of the words that come together, especially the latter.  I mean, who wants to suffer? Who wants to experience or be subjected to bad or unpleasant things for a long period of time? Wasn't coming into Christ suppose to erase the idea of that? How is this unpleasant thing a fruit? I want you to think about the worst-tasting fruit you've ever consumed.  Mine would be grapefruit.  It's so bad tasting to me, yet no matter how terrible it tastes to me, it is still good for me. No matter how unwanted long-suffering is to us, it is good for our walk in Christ. How?  How is it good? How is beneficial? I am no theologist, nor am I some great Apostle, so my definition of long-suffering may differ from the idea of the Greats.  But, I do not believe...

Temptation + Provision= Acts of Sin

Image
I was meditating the other day and this scripture where Jonah was running away popped back up in my mind again.  I had gone over it in my studies and there was something about it sticking out to me, but I couldn't figure it out until now.  Jonah 1:3 "But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord. I found it interesting that when Jonah decided to run away, that transportation was readily available for him.  The devil doesn't bring the temptation, he brings the provision for it.  "Woah, Woah, Woah" "But, he is a tempter" Yes, he is, but stick with me for a while before you press that Exit button.  Let's lay down the foundation.  Psalm 51:5 "Behold, I was shapened in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me." This scripture proves that we ourselves are fleshy. We are sinful c...

Don't Give The Devil Chance!

Image
Daniel 7:25 The enemy will come, speak against God, and wear out the saints of the Most High.  My husband has always had this saying since we got married.  Don't give the enemy a foothold! Whenever we had an issue that might be considered small, he would try to deal with it. He had this thing of not allowing a problem that can possibly become bigger to slide by.  In other words, we couldn't leave the door cracked.  Ephesians 4:27  " Neither give place to the devil"  Today, I am here to be a caution sign. A reminder of sorts, for you to not allow the enemy a foothold in your life. In many cases unknowingly, we allow the devil to have his way piece by piece when we refuse to confront what we deem as small.  Before we know it, the devil has a whole seat in the room that he doesn't belong in.  A little slip of the tongue.  A little peep. A little sip.  A little time here.  A quick meet-up. A little inhale. There's no biggy, I can...

Only God!

Image
Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved"  I've been in countless situations where when it comes to my rescue I either try to save myself or try to get another person to do it.  It took me a long time to figure out that in everything, only God will be able to bring me out.  I had looked to friends,  devices, family, my mother especially, and even to my husband when I find myself in a bind, but in the end, God showed me that it was only Him that I truly need. Now, the process of Him showing you this is a tough one to swallow.  Especially when your faith was as weak as mine was.  I didn't trust to depend on God too much when things get really real in my life.  I had this horrible mindset that the issue may be too big for God. That I needed to handle this myself.  So, when it came time to changing where I look for help, it was hard.  I know, we have a ...

Let's Talk- How Do You Take Instructions?

Image
There are times in our walk when we are instructed to do certain things.  It can range from mild to downright wild! There are many stories in the Bible about people being instructed by God to do certain things. There are some that did it without a second thought and others that needed confirmation.  You can look at Abraham, who was going to sacrifice his son. He did that without even asking for more on it. That was one of the wild ones.  Then, you have others like Joseph (Jesus' fleshly father), who was only instructed to move his family from the place he knew full and well to another land.  We also have Gideon, who was instructed to deliver the people of Israel, who constantly asked God for confirmation before he even made the first step.  I haven't been instructed to do anything wild such as Isaiah who had to be naked, or  Ezekial who had to lay on his side for a long amount of years, but I have been instructed to do certain things out of my comfor...
