Make Worship A Lifestyle Again-Let's Talk

Image
Make Worship A Lifestyle Again (MWALA) Let's Talk! As you know life is not easing up on us! If one thing ends, there is another thing coming. At this point, I think I am in some book that is drama filled and if I was reading it, it would have me at the edge of my seat.  But considering it's real life, it's not exciting, you know? However, that's not what I want to talk about. I know life is hard and I wish I can tell you something like it would get easier, but I don't want to give false expectations.  But, there has been something that has been helping me tremendously in the midst of the whirlwind called life.  Worship and prayer! I find that a good worship session or prayer session whether I am in my car or home or to work in the bathroom helps ease the worry and anxiety of my troubles.  Sometimes even in the middle of my breakdowns, I turned it into a session to glorify God.  So my question to you is, what do you do when life is a tornado of worries and anxiet...

Thank You - Poem

Photo by Kevin Butz on Unsplash   Thank you for keeping me. Thank you for keeping me. Sometimes that's all my prayer has It's few words but their meaning surpass It's multifaceted, and it means a lot I can list a few to help you build the plot. Thank You for keeping me safe.  Every night I lay and every morning I rise with no harm. I drive, walk, run and I'm covered by Your arm Thank You for keeping me sane. My mind wage war, but Your peace wage serenity I can't even explain sometimes how in chaos I have tranquility. Thank You for keeping me in love. When the world is full of selfishness and hate, Your love, I see no shortage. I'm wrapped and dipped in love to the point of overage. It's this love that stretches from east to west.  It's this love that reaches deep into my low valley or even high as an eagle's nest.  Thank You for keeping me supported. Not only with You showing up but connecting me with others People that pray and encourage me, those ...

God's Voice

Image
I was laying down the other night and God begin to pour some knowledge.  Of course, what I assumed would be an early night was automatically shifted to a night of wisdom impartation.  He said " My sheep know my voice"  I didn't understand why the statement. I felt like it was so random, but then I begin to ponder on it a bit.  Oftentimes, we battle with the concept of knowing the difference of who is speaking in our heads.  Is it God? Is it me? Is it the devil? Many times I was asked the question of how to know God's voice.  I heard before that there are always three voices in our heads.  Ours, God's, and then the devil's.  Ours is often layered with doubt and negativity. If we are asked to do a task like pray for someone or give to another, our voice would often reply with doubt if that was really the instruction.  Basically, we would find a way to talk ourselves out of the task or nudge to do something clearly perceived as good....

Faithfulness- DO you have these fruits

Image
Hi!  Welcome back to our series on the Fruits of the Spirit! Today we're talking about Faithfulness.  Now, when we hear about faithfulness it's often referring to either God's commitment to us or someone's commitment to another.  And, in a way, we are correct about this assumption of this meaning.  When translated into its Greek form it is Pistis. It means truth or a conviction of truth.  Fidelity in Christ.  A reliable character The Google definition of Faithfulness describes it as the quality of being faithful, fidelity. Learning the definition of this word opened the fact that to be faithful may be definitely challenging for us.  It is the very opposite of our nature. As humans, we are very much finicky.  It's a reason that God's spirit doesn't thrive with man at all times. (Genesis 6:3) This fruit is definitely one of the hardest ones to bear at times. Even in physical relationships with our spouses or families, humans tend to struggle ...

Do You Have These Fruits?- Goodness.

Image
Yes, you are reading right!  There's another fruit dropping this month and we are about to grab this too! I realized that I missed a month, so I would use this to catch up so that we can be on the right track. Today, we're talking about Goodness.  When I began to meditate on this message, I assume that it would be just the same as Kindness (Gentleness), but I realized that Goodness was different in so many ways.  When Kindness came with having compassion and adapting that into your nature, Goodness is the decision to do what is right . The definition states: *Goodness is the quality of being morally good or virtuous. Now, right there, there's not much to go off, so I had to dig deeper and God let the words 'morally' and 'virtuous' stick out.  So, in TheRay's fashion, I searched for the definition of those words also.  Moral (Morally): Concern with the principles of right and wrong behavior. Virtuous: Having or showing high moral standards . Romans 12:2...

Consistency- Just Do It!

Image
In the process of remaking some of my posts, I came across Consistency, Consistency, Consistency .  By the way, you can go ahead and check out the original before reading this one. 😊  ( https://theraydestiny.blogspot.com/2020/09/consistency-consistency-consistency.html) In the old version, I mentioned that when people are often given dreams or try to achieve their goals, they are often top-heavy.  Meaning, sometimes we can be so focused on the end goal that we don't pay attention to the journey that we have to take to get there. We don't consider the steps. I concluded in the old post that consistency is remembering why when you start to grow weary, distracted, or discourage.  But, in this post, I want to add something that I had learned since starting my blog. Some days I experience this fatigue of not wanting to write. Not because I don't have anything to say to you guys, but because even when we are walking on our journey, discouragement doesn't just go aw...

Do You Have This Fruits?- Kindness

Image
Welcome back to our "Do You Have These Fruits?" series! Today we're talking about: Kindness. Before you read what I got, think about what kindness is to you.  I know that most people describe it as an action. Something that is done in the moment of a need.  Giving money to someone in need.  Giving encouragement to others who may be sad.  Giving a hug for someone that may be down.  I agree with this definition as well, however, when studying and digging deeper into the Fruits of The Spirits, I pulled up a deeper meaning.  Kindness in Greek is translated to Chrēstotēs ( kray-stote). It is defined as not a virtue of word or countenance, but a  person's nature. It explains that any reaction to anything should be kind, gentle, encouragement. What I want to stick to more so in the definition is the ' person's nature'.  We stated that normally we define kindness as an act, but in the Greek translation, it is more of just an act that we can display h...

We Are Equal

Image
In this post, I want to speak to you about equality.  Spiritual equality, more so. There are many instances in our Christian journies where we may think that we are less than others regarding the venomous bite of comparison. Perhaps we aren't as fluent as so and so in prayer.  Or we don't speak as eloquently enough as our brother in Christ.  Maybe we aren't used in the prophetic department as much as our sister.  There may be a lot of things that we are unable to do as well as the next person, but this does not, in no way or form, makes us any less than those around us. In 1 Corinthians 12 , it speaks about the importance of the different parts of the body.  The body has many uniquely different parts. One part has another function and purpose than the other. The next one looks different from the other.  Even when one part is hurt or receiving pleasure, each part reacts differently to the pain or satisfaction. Yet, with all of the distinctions between...
