It's (G)od not god!

Respect Fear God Inspirational TheRayDestiny Quotes

 1 Chronicles 13:9-10
"When they came to the threshing floor of Kidon, Uzzah reached out to his hand to steady the ark, because the oxen stumbled. The Lord's anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God."

Are you one of those persons who when reading something and it mentions God or Jesus, but they don't capitalize the 'G' or 'J' you just want to correct them?

Raise your hand in the comment section and be like "Excuse me it's God/Jesus!"

It's important and sometimes, I do let people know that it's God and not god, but I realize that God doesn't need assistance in that area or any other area for that matter.

The scripture context was a scripture that I normally read and was confused on why God did that.

You know? Killed Uzzah.

He was only trying to help the ark from 'falling'. He was assisting the oxen, but God killed him.

Brutal, right?

Uzzah was a 'priest', he wasn't ordained to carry the ark, but he was ordained, right?

In my thinking, God answered.

He reminded me of the previous chapters and the time that they were living in.

He reminded me that although Uzzah was a priest, he wasn't consecrated to touch the ark of the covenant.

He mainly reminded me that the children of Israel were also coming from that long era of serving other gods.

In the previous chapters, they were worshipping false gods. Those gods needed assistance if they fell to get back up or to be moved and serve a purpose.

He reminded me that Uzzah had forgotten the difference between Him and the gods they had tried to replace Him with.

That Uzzah forgot that He was God of all gods, Lord of all lords, Yahweh, Yeshua, the Great I Am.

That He was God that created the Heavens and the earth and every luminary.

That He was the one that breathed into man and humans came to be. That He was and is, is to come.

That the Ark that they were bringing back to Jerusalem bore God's Name.

Uzzah's intention to assist the Ark was of one who was trying to assist a god. Not the Most High.

Yes, they were already carrying it. Yes, they normally carried the ark of the covenant, but please remember that God had ordained a certain group of people to do this.

The scripture also says the oxen stumbled and not the ark.

Uzzah underestimated who He was dealing with.

Let us be very careful to remember the Holy God that we serve. Let us not become familiar and forget the respect and honor that is always due to His Name.

Jehovah Jireh is second to none, nor should He be in competition with none.

The fear of God is important to have to avoid this.

It's just a spelling, perhaps a typo.

You may be right.

However, I believe fear of God plays an important part in how one would portray Him.

Respect would be all around and at all times.

Don't get familiar.

Don't be like Uzzah, who became familiar with serving other gods that he was comfortable and relaxed when it came to repenting.

He tried to treat God as if He was even close to the pathetic gods that they had served in the past.

Let's get back to true reverence, respect, and honor.

Let's put some respect on His Name.

He is Yahweh, Yeshua, Jehovah, I AM, God.

He is not the universe, but He is the creator of it.

He does not answer prayers through the dead( ancestors). His connection, His mediator, is Jesus Christ, the one who had died and rose again.
