A Cornerstone
Psalm 118:22
"The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone"
Rejection is very, very hard to swallow.
Many persons even avoid doing what they're instructed to do because they fear the rejection of the crowd.
Avoid saying what God has told them to say because they're worried about the acceptance of it.
It's relatable.
There has been one time when I avoided something instructed by God because I fear how it would be accepted.
The results weren't too pretty.
Let's just say that not doing what God has told us to do doesn't stop His word from fulfilling its purpose. It will still get done, but the guilt you feel when you know that it was supposed to be you doing what He said to do is second to none.
Today is not different from any other day. I am writing to encourage you to not be afraid of rejection because God says the reward is going to be greater than it.
Jeremiah was afraid because of his age, but God made him a mouthpiece and one of the only accurate prophets during that time.
The scripture says that the stone becomes the cornerstone.
That is the most important quality or feature on which a particular thing depends on.
For those who have not stepped out because of fear, I encourage you to do so, because you don't know what or who is depending on you to do it.
I understand!
You may be feeling more of the rejection than the cornerstone position but know this.
1 Peter 2:4
"As you come to Him, the Living Stone-rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to Him."
You, who are reading this, God is saying that you have been in the process of becoming the cornerstone!
Friends and foe have turned their backs and you feel alone, but because you have done what He asked of you to do, He's going to make you into the Cornerstone. Precious to Him!
You're going to be the pillar that many are going to need to lean on. Whether that be your family or friends. They're going to need you to depend on.
The road was lonely and you may have questioned if you should continue because you realized that the results are not what you are comfortable with.
Many have left than you would have thought.
But, you still obeyed! You still did what He asked of you!
And, He will make room for you! He will set you up!
What happened is not for granted. It wasn't done in futile.
Don't despise this rejection period in your life!
God is about to turn it all around for you and for your good.
It was all to build you strong enough to become the pillar.
To prepare you on how to not only be strong but like a pillar that often stands alone, how to stand on your own.
Whew! I am so excited right now!
Many of you are going to have some beautiful testimonies in the end!
Your faithfulness is going to indeed pay off!
You're going to have some stories of God's goodness in your life and I can't wait to hear them all!
So, when you do, please check back to this post and leave it in the comment section or email them to me!
It isn't long now!
