Settling is NOT an Option.

Don't Settle God Quality Life TheRayDestiny Quotes Inspirational

I had been talking with God about a situation when I heard "Don't Settle".

I automatically assumed that it was my relationship because normally when people say to don't settle, it means to not get comfortable with someone who is giving you the bare minimum.

However, that was not what my 'Don't Settle' meant.

It means to not settle in my journey with God, to not settle with my mental health, to not settle with my job, and to not settle with who I am.

Normally when I get a topic, I meditate on it for a few days because I believe that correction isn't brought for me to correct anyone else but myself first.

I'm very much of a practice-what-I-preach kind of person.

So, when I got the word I first took notice of what was actually going on in my life and I asked myself, "Am I happy with this, or am I tolerating it?"

I know some things that happen in our lives are not what we want or imagine, but are we sticking to it, or are we trying to make our way out of it?

Was I fine with the amount of time I got to spend with God?

Was I fine with my job?

Was I fine with how I was communicating and caring for my friends or family?

Or, was I tolerating and just taking the low quality of life because I was too lazy to change it.

While meditating on this topic, I was reminded instantly of the woman at the well. John 4.

You can read the story on your own, but I will paraphrase it here.

The part that I want to focus on is the part of her having a series of husbands and now, even as Jesus met her, she was in a relationship again.

She was really settled deeply into a situation that she couldn't find herself out of.

My favorite part about this story is that Jesus came and offer her a way out.

He came, extending His hand to give her another solution other than settling.

He told her that she can drink the water, or eat from Him and she will never have to worry about settling again.

Today, I am giving you that same solution.

That same extended hand.

Don't settle any longer.

Look around you and see what can be better, especially with Jesus on your side.

The woman at the well assumed she had no other option either. She continued to marry and marry because she felt like that was her only solution, but today I am telling you that God has another way out of it.

You don't have to take the bare minimum anymore.

Jesus offered the woman at the well eternity.

Water she can drink and never thirst again.

Food she can eat and never hunger again.

He offered her salvation and freedom.

When you choose God, you automatically pulled yourself from the bending position of settling.

I intrigued you today to choose Him.

Let Him work it out so that you can get the high quality you deserve.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and everything else will be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

No longer will you be defined into thinking that this is all you could have.

The word says that God can give all that we can ask or think. Ephesians 3:20

He can do all that and more.

Don't settle in your relationship. You deserve more.

Don't settle in your mental health. You deserve more.

Don't settle in your spiritual walk. You deserve more.

Don't settle in your everyday life. You deserve more.

Do not let the enemy make you feel any longer that you are only to be another failed marriage, theoretically speaking. Do not let him make you feel like you will only be in this loop that the woman of the well was in.

You are more than that and because you are more than that, you deserve to have and get more.

So, accept the water that is extended to you.

Accept the bread of life that is extended to you.

Do not settle.
