"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in our times of trouble."

There's a song that we all know to be a popular funeral song, but I have found myself singing this song at random times especially when my soul feels down. 

It helps me to remind it that it is not alone, nor is it weak. 

The song is called "It is Well". 

The song is repetitive, but this is a small piece that I sing that I want to share with you It says: 

"When peace like a river attendeth my way
When sorrow like sea billow roll
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say.
It is well, It is well with my soul" 

This song although so short is such a soul refresher. 

I paired it with the scripture because it helps double down when it comes to reminding your soul. 

Sometimes, we have to remind our soul that God has made it well for us. 

We have to remind our souls that He is our refuge and our strength. That He is our ever-present help in times of trouble. 

We must remind our souls that we are not alone in the troubles and chaos that life seems to throw our way. 

We are not weak. 

We are not unworthy. 

We are not lost. 

We are not uncared for. 

We have to remind our souls that it is well. 

I'm reminded of the prodigal son when he was already out of the inheritance and about to eat the swine's food. The scripture said he remembered himself and who he was. 

He reminded himself that he was a child of a highly esteemed man and that he deserved more. 

Today, remind your soul. 

Remind your soul that it is strong. Nehemiah 8:10

Remind your soul that you are overcome. 1 John 5:4

Remind your soul that what has been promised to you, will come to pass. Isaiah 55:11

Remind your soul that you are loved. Romans 8:39

Remind your soul that you will make it. Genesis 12:2

Remind your soul because if you don't then the enemy will try to cause you to believe you are something you are not.

Change The Environment!

  So my husband and I were having a bit of a mosquito problem. I found numerous bumps on my legs, but it puzzled me because I rarely go outside.  Thanks to COVID.  These mosquitos were living in our house. They were surviving in our house.  Now, if you know mosquitos, they require a certain kind of environment to thrive.  They would need a bushy area, preferably with puddles or swamps. So, it puzzled me how they were surviving here in my house where none of those things were. My husband later told me to take out the dishwater before bed. That if they needed water to live, then remove what is helping them.  Change the environment.  I have read that in order to get rid of something, you must change the environment or the atmosphere that it is comfortable in.  Eventually, it will have to move because it will not find a resting place there anymore.  Matthew 12:43-46 speaks on the impure spirit who abided in a person.   I know.   I know.  It's been a long time and so many things have happened that I need to share with you.   There's really no excuse for my absence other than life really taking drastic changes and me trying to maneuver in it. (I'll write a post about that later)  I want to know how everyone's has been? What's up?
