Thankfulness
Name three things you
are grateful for right now!
...
What were they? Tell me
in the comment section below!
I love this part of the
year because we often get this time to reflect on our lives and what we
accomplished so far. We think about the people in our lives and all that God
has done for us.
Most importantly, we
show gratitude.
I can't speak for everything,
but when I think about the things that I am grateful for, I tend to end up with
a long list. There have just been so many things that have occurred over this
year that I am more than grateful to God for bringing me out.
If you don't know where
to start, I have many options for you.
Let's remember that
today as you read this, you have breath in your body.
You woke up in the right
frame of mind and you got the strength, no matter how little to go on just for
another day.
For those of us who have
a family that is still in good health and present.
Your job, your health,
your shelter- in whichever capacity it may be.
There is a kind of
gratitude that I feel just to be able to connect with you today. I am
thankful for this blog and that I am able to spread the Word in such a unique
way.
I am thankful to hear
those of you who message me and share your testimonies or that you have been
encouraged by what you have read. It truly puts a smile on my face.
Most importantly, I am
thankful- so thankful, for God and the fact that He has remained on my side through it
all.
You ever get that moment
in life when you think about all that He has done for you and know very well
you didn't deserve it sometimes, so you just cry?
That overwhelming sense
of gratitude?
I remember one time I
was thanking God and just started listing of so many things because I realize
that we often miss and overlook the simple things in our life that God gives us
to make it easier for us.
You know?
A sunny day, so we can
accomplish what we can without getting wet.
A rainy day, so that the
farms and places that grow our foods can be nourished.
The traffic because it
delayed us from speeding because we might have gotten into an accident.
The fact that we could
breathe through both our nostrils because when we had the flu it taught us just how vital they were.
We shouldn't wait until
something is taking out of our lives to appreciate it.
Let's give our
congratulations, our thank yous, and our roses when we are alive and well to do
so.
Tell your mother 'thank
you'.
Tell your father ' thank
you'.
Tell your guardian, your
loved ones, your co-workers, boss, pastor, bishop, and children, THANK YOU.
Show appreciation today!
We also shouldn't wait
until this time or season to do so, but this should be done every day.
My husband and I tell
each other every other day that we love and appreciate one another. I am not
sure why he says it to me, but it absolutely encourages me to go on.
It makes me feel good
that my work is not going unnoticed.
Let's not make
thanksgiving week or day the moment we tell others we love and appreciate them.
Let's encourage them frequently.
Let them know that their
works aren't going unnoticed.
