Blessings In The Midst
During my time in prayer, God and I were talking and I began to reflect that in the midst of what I was going through, He continued to bless me.
He supplied everything I needed when I needed it the most.
It blew my mind because it was like I would feel my heart crave for it, or my spirit craved for it and I wouldn't even voice what it was I needed, but He sent it.
Just what I needed.
Immediately, I wanted to share this news with you guys.
I wanted to encourage someone that might be going through, that God still gives blessings in the midst!
Now normally when I have a post, I like to associate it with a scripture or a verse and I originally didn't have anything of the sort because this was based on personal experience.
However, as I begin typing I begin to be reminded of a bible story and this is one we all know all too well.
It's the woman with the issue of blood.
I spoke about this a while back and it was called "Woman With the Issue of Blood" not really unique, but I wanted it to be easier to find.
Anyway, besides that, when I spoke about the story, I speak from the Point Of View of the woman with the issue of blood, but I didn't give context to what was happening.
In Luke 8 starting from verse 40, Jesus was not planning on healing the woman with the issue, He was actually on His way to healing a young girl who was sick in her bed.
The verse starts off by introducing her father, Jarius, and how he had come to Jesus to heal her.
The woman with the issue of blood received her blessing in the midst of Jesus going to heal someone else.
What made her blessing even more inclined to fall upon her was the fact that although Jesus was in transition for something else, her faith made His favor react to her.
The enemy is going to find a way to make you feel like in the midst of your storm, God is not going to reach out to you.
He's going to try to isolate you and make it seem as though, God only wants you to suffer.
As if God wants to just be harsh and cold towards you.
That is not God's intention.
Storms are inevitable, but God's love for you is unconditional.
His faithfulness and mercy don't stop because of the winds or the waves.
He still plans to help along the way.
Another example before I leave you with this word is the story of Elijah.
1 Kings 17:2-6, it's the story of Elijah being fed with a raven because, in the midst of his mission for God, he became weary and depressed.
In the midst of his going through, God sent what is needed to renew and refresh him.
God didn't consider Elijah weak and moved on to the other person that may be stronger.
He didn't place shame on Elijah because he was unable to withstand the storm.
No, in the midst of it, God sent help.
He sent food and blessed him.
I am reminded of Psalm 91:15.
"He will call on me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him."
God didn't say He would watch from afar when we are in trouble. He said that in the midst of our trouble, He will be with us and not only be present but sent forth deliverance!
Today, please don't shut out those blessings that God is sending in the midst of your going through.
Don't shut out the strangers or the unlikely people that are coming to help or listen.
Don't shut out the listening ears.
Don't shut out the assistance of money or material things.
God is hearing not only our lips in the midst but what our spirits are saying we need.
The woman with the issue of blood was healed because God heard her spirit and sent healing directly where it asked.
Elijah was blessed with food because God knew his spirit was in need.
I decree and declare that in the very midst of what you are going through, you're about to experience the true and living God.
He's about to bless you in the way that you need the most.
He's about to shift the way the wind is blowing just so you can find footing to stand.
He's going to bless in the midst!
