Consistency- Just Do It!

TheRayDestiny Inspirational Quotes Consistency Motivational

In the process of remaking some of my posts, I came across Consistency, Consistency, Consistency

By the way, you can go ahead and check out the original before reading this one. 😊

In the old version, I mentioned that when people are often given dreams or try to achieve their goals, they are often top-heavy.

Meaning, sometimes we can be so focused on the end goal that we don't pay attention to the journey that we have to take to get there.

We don't consider the steps.

I concluded in the old post that consistency is remembering why when you start to grow weary, distracted, or discourage.

But, in this post, I want to add something that I had learned since starting my blog.

Some days I experience this fatigue of not wanting to write. Not because I don't have anything to say to you guys, but because even when we are walking on our journey, discouragement doesn't just go away.

Dry periods and times when we just don't want to do anything are inevitable to come to us.

Just because we choose to step forward in achieving our goals doesn't ward off the idea of quitting away.

So, I got caught up.

I didn't want to do a post. I didn't want to read the Word and get something to share with you guys too.

I got lazy.

I got discourage.

I got disappointed in myself and if I allowed myself to go on with this, it would have only become a repetitive cycle.

You know?

The one where you start, you stop, and you get sad because you stop, but instead of starting again you just keep getting sad because you stopped.

But as I start to wallow in my own little pity party, God told me to

 "Just Do It"

This is in no way an advertisement for Nike, but they were definitely in the spirit when they made this slogan.😂

Just Do It!

Of course, when He told me this, I immediately wanted to conjure up an excuse.

I had no content.

I'm tired.

I don't have the energy.

I don't know what to do now.

So many other candidates of why I can't, but God had already turned a deaf ear because far as He is concerned, He has given us the grace and strength to do it.

Do what, you asked?

Whatever it was you did in the beginning when you first started.

If you're in a dry place in your start-up business, then do what you did when you first began.

If you're in a rough patch in your marriage, then do what you did when you first got married.

If you're in a scary place in your journey with Christ, then do what you did when you first got saved.

Do what you did when you first landed that job!

Do it now what you did when you first started that Youtube Channel or that blog!

Just do it now, what you did in the beginning.

Do it tired. Do it discouraged! Do it strong! Do it even when you don't feel 100 percent!

Just Do It!

Just Do it!

I know I sound like a coach to you right now. Pressuring you to do that last lap when you feel the burning of giving up deep within your legs.

Your body is screaming for you to stop, but I want "Just Do It" to be so loud and resounding in your mind and spirit today, that it overcomes the will of giving up.

That it drowns out the chants of I can't.

That it pushes out the idea of not being able to and brings back the idea of why you started running in the first place!

At the moment where you don't want to, or you're too tired to is the very place where your "Just Do It" should come into effect!

Just Do It!
