We Are Equal

TheRayDestiny Inspirational Quotes Godly Motivational

In this post, I want to speak to you about equality.

Spiritual equality, more so.

There are many instances in our Christian journies where we may think that we are less than others regarding the venomous bite of comparison.

Perhaps we aren't as fluent as so and so in prayer.

Or we don't speak as eloquently enough as our brother in Christ.

Maybe we aren't used in the prophetic department as much as our sister.

There may be a lot of things that we are unable to do as well as the next person, but this does not, in no way or form, makes us any less than those around us.

In 1 Corinthians 12, it speaks about the importance of the different parts of the body.

The body has many uniquely different parts. One part has another function and purpose than the other. The next one looks different from the other.

Even when one part is hurt or receiving pleasure, each part reacts differently to the pain or satisfaction.

Yet, with all of the distinctions between the parts, they are all considered one body.

Equal.

There is no part that is looked down upon. There is no part that is exalted above the other.

They are all equivalent to the same 'one' body.

In this post, though, I want to make a glaring recognition of comparing yourself. In other words, I want to put this horrible trait on blast.

Call it out.

I described it as a venomous bite earlier because that is what it is.

It poisons us to believe we are less than others and then cripples us from doing what we are uniquely created to do.

It disfigured the scale to make it seem unbalanced. To make it unequal among us.

It breeds thoughts that make us think we are either better or less than others. None of these results are accurate.

Proverbs 22:2
"Rich and poor have this in common: The Lord is the Maker of them all."

I want to emphasize that it states Rich and poor. Meaning two different classifications. Two groups of people we deemed on other parts of the spectrum, but at the end of the verse it clarifies that God created them all.

They are the same make-up.

Same formula.

The only thing that makes us different is what we choose to do within ourselves to make ourselves better individuals.

However, besides that, God's love for us is not given to us based on who is better but it is spread out evenly to each and every one of us.

It is the same with His grace.

He isn't so keen on what we think we need to do in order to be the best in front of His eyes.

He loves and cares for us in spite of it.

Today, I want to remind you that you are just as important as the next person in God's eyes.

I want to remind you that God doesn't think of you less because of the number of mistakes you might have made.

He doesn't look at you less because you got saved later on in life. He doesn't think of you less because you feel worthless in comparison to the others.

The fact that you don't pray or read your bible the way that person does, doesn't make Him view you as incompetent of His love and faithfulness.

We are all equal in His love.

In His grace.

In His eyes.

Don't allow the snake of comparison to bite you. Don't let its venom continue to spread through you any longer.
