God Will Keep You!
My husband and I were speaking the other day about how stories in the Bible although may seem as though they happen right after the other, that was not the case.
For instance, Cain and Abel weren't little boys when they made sacrifices to God, but were very much grown men. There were many years that have gone by before that story came to be, hence the reason why Cain told God when he was banished to protect him from other men.
Time lapses aren't often spoken or hinted at in The Bible. Just because it happened in the next verse doesn't mean it happened the next day or even the next week, month, or year.
Another example is the story of Moses splitting the sea for the Children of Israel to cross.
In most movies, shows, or even the way it may be told to persons, it is believed that as soon as Moses raised his staff, the sea split and the children ran over, but that was not so.
Exodus 14:21 shows that the splitting of the sea took all night. The winds pull the water back to reveal the land for the people to walk on.
A time-lapse.
What I want to focus on today is that in the midst of the wait that the Israelites had to endure. That in the middle of the pressure of Egyptians on their tails and a huge body of water that God's grace stepped forward.
I always say that when God is in it or when He is telling you to go somewhere, He will provide His Grace, His favor for you to make it.
This was clearly evident here!
The scripture states that as the Children of Israelites waited for the water to split that God's sent the cloud that led them by day to the back of them and it stood between them and the Egyptians. It prevented the latter from even stepping foot near them. It showed them dark when it showed the Israelite's day and it stayed in place until it was time for the Israelites to cross the Red Sea on dry ground.
Is this blowing your mind the way it is blowing mine?!
How awesome is the Lord God Almighty!
Even in the midst of our hard place, He still provides a way!
He still shows us that we are covered and protected by Him and not half protected either!
He didn't just show the Israelites a way out, but He made sure that they got out and that no harm came to them while they waited!
Have you ever been in a circumstance or situation where you are praying for a breakthrough or a miracle and take note of where you are right at that moment?
Realizing that even though you need a miracle right now, Thank God, you are not where you use to be!
Look around you, now! Take note of His grace and His favor in your life.
God is able to provide you with the way out and He is also capable of protecting you until the time comes.
That is a definition of a keeper at its finest.
He isn't just making ways for us but keeping us through it all.
I encourage you today, in the midst of your rock and a hard place to still thank God, that He's keeping you.
It's sad to say, but some people didn't make it out of the valley because worry consumed them.
Lord, I thank you for keeping us! I thank you for showering us with Your grace and favor. For protecting us in the midst of it all.
For guarding us in the midst of trusting You!
