All You Thanked God For!
1 Thessalonians 5:18
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
-Max Lucado
I read the post above a few years back and the impact of the question is so dismantling because when you begin to think of it in its literal sense, what would you have?
I think the question alone can prove just how much you thank God for. How grateful you are?
I try my best to not let life get so carried away that I forget to thank God for giving me it as well as the many added things to it.
So often we only want to thank God for the big recent things in our lives, but the joy of thanksgiving has no limit or size.
No matter what it is, how insignificant it may seem, it still plays an important part and changes the dynamic in our lives.
Sometimes I find myself thanking God for the smallest things, like the fan blowing cool breeze when it's so hot, or the fact that my laptop was able to work so I can write my blogs.
I would thank Him for the small things like that or even the big things like my husband, my family, my job, health, and so forth, because even though I have had these things and persons for quite some time in my life I am fully aware that they can still be snatched away from me.
What will we wake up to the next day?
Will we still have friendships?
Marriage?
Families?
Health?
Shelter?
Food?
Life?
Will it be nothing?
Will our spirit man still know Jesus as our personal savior?
Thanking God says a lot about our relationship with Him. It says 'Despite of I am grateful to have You in my life"
It says, regardless of what I am going through right now, I praise You, Lord!
Thanking God opens the doors for more miracles because not only do you accept His blessings, but you accept when He doesn't give you either.
He sees that you are still grateful.
That you still bless His Holy name regardless.
A child of gratitude.
Imagine giving something to someone who always appreciates and is grateful for it, whether what you give them is big or small. Wouldn't you want to always give them?
This is where thanking God puts you.
In a position to always receive His blessings.
Today, let's start to be more thankful for the things and the people we have around us. For the places we have been, where we are now, and where we are headed.
I challenge you before you see the bad in something to find the good in it, however small it may be, and thank God for it.
Praise Him for the traffic, for the delay, thank Him for the setback or for the hurt.
Thank Him because they got it wrong, thank Him because they said no, because believe it or not there's always a point to His work. In the end, it all works out for your good.
Make a list if you have to.
Thank Him!

Powerful! It is so easy to get used to God's blessings that we begin to feel entitled and forget to give God thanks for the things we take for granted like you said until they are snatched away, the we begin to question God why? Thank you for reminding us to have a grateful and thankful heart.❤
