Second Chances...

God Plans Actions Faithfulness TheRayDestiny Quotes

 Isaiah 55:8
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways" declares the Lord.

The ways of God and how He's going to move is unpredictable. No matter how much history we have, what He will do is often unforeseen.

Moses assumed He would move in a great theatric way, but He showed up in a still small voice.

Jonah was bent on Him completely destroying the children of Ninevah, but instead, God forgave them and turned away His anger.

He's unpredictable, but He's not reckless.

I'm currently in the book of Isaiah and came to 42:9.

"See, the former things have taken place, and new things I have declared; before they spring into being I announce them to you"

This means that although we may not know the outcome of what He's about to do in its entirety, He still gives warning or notice before He moves.

We have seen Him do this countless times in the Bible. Give warnings or notices before actually moving.

It was demonstrated in the time of Noah building the ark, the children of Israel before they went into exile (the book of Jeremiah), Jonah and Ninevah, and practically every prophet after Lamentations has given a warning and notice.

Even now, in the new testament and the prophetic words we receive today are warnings and notices that God is on His way.

Are you ready?

Are you dressed in the Armor of God?

Are you awake?

Before He springs into action, before the trumpets blow and the sky darkens, He has already announced it to us?

What are we doing with the warning?

What are we doing with the notice?

What are we doing with the second chance?

This is the reason why God announces His moves. This is the reason why He gives warnings and notices to us.

He provides another opportunity to get into the Ark of Safety. A chance to repent and to live right.

He is presenting us with the time to make sure of our election.

He could just move and wipe us out in our sins. He could've just moved and wiped out the Israelites, or the people in Ninevah. Instead of waiting years, He could have washed out the people in the time of Noah within a few days, but He sent notices and warnings because He is a God of second chances.

He's too merciful and gracious.

He's always making ways for us to escape, to turn around, to be set free.

1 Corinthians 10:13
"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it"

I'm reminded of the time before I found myself in that situation that harmed me the warning I had received in a dream. I was already shown their hands, but I turned a blind eye because I was looking at face value.

Today, I'm in constant gratitude that God gave me another chance to repent and make it right with Him. That He didn't cut me off in the midst of sinful days.

In this second chance, we have the opportunity to change the outcome.

Ninevah changed their outcome when they repented.

Hezekiah changed his outcome when he prayed.

I beg you today, take heed to the warnings!

Take note of the notice!

Cease the second chance!

Take the opportunity to be born again while the moment is still here.

You are worthy of it and it is available to you right now and every time you breathe.

"Seek the Lord while He is Near!" Isaiah 55:6

Because a time will come when you would try to take this opportunity and it won't be there anymore.

That you will try to grab this second chance, but it won't be in your reach anymore.

John 7:34
"You will look for me, but you will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come"

If you are reading this today, now is the acceptable time!

Now, is the time because you have been pushing it back for too long.

You have been rescheduling it for too long!

Remember, you are not too dirty for God to clean.

You are not unreachable! You are not unworthy!

You're worth the announcement! You are worth the second chance!

Don't turn a deaf ear any longer.

Don't let God spring into action, and you don't be where He was giving you a second chance to be.
