Stand Up For Yourself!

Maybe I should say it louder.
Wear it on my chest a bit prouder.
Or, I should let it slide
Don't respond, let the insults ride.

Maybe I should reply with contempt,
Make my voice sharp, a sword that can't be bent.
Or, maybe avoid the whole confrontation,
Let it all blow over because of my hesitation. 

I am torn between choosing which battle to keep and what to let pass
Debating whether to fight this one or wait to see how long it will last
Is it major enough for me to address, it is worth it?
Should I put it in God's hand or is He telling me I could hold it?

I don't want to do or say something I will regret, there are no takebacks.
I don't know if I should stand up for myself or stay silent in the attacks.
Lord, help me to know when to move and when to stay
And if I must fight, teach me what to do or what to say.

Don't let me be a pushover and don't let me misrepresent You.
And, when I'm supposed to fight don't let me lose too
Let me stand for myself, let me stand on respect.
Let me stand on Your honor, every self-doubt I neglect.

Let me stand up for myself!

Change The Environment!

  So my husband and I were having a bit of a mosquito problem. I found numerous bumps on my legs, but it puzzled me because I rarely go outside.  Thanks to COVID.  These mosquitos were living in our house. They were surviving in our house.  Now, if you know mosquitos, they require a certain kind of environment to thrive.  They would need a bushy area, preferably with puddles or swamps. So, it puzzled me how they were surviving here in my house where none of those things were. My husband later told me to take out the dishwater before bed. That if they needed water to live, then remove what is helping them.  Change the environment.  I have read that in order to get rid of something, you must change the environment or the atmosphere that it is comfortable in.  Eventually, it will have to move because it will not find a resting place there anymore.  Matthew 12:43-46 speaks on the impure spirit who abided in a person.   I know.   I know.  It's been a long time and so many things have happened that I need to share with you.   There's really no excuse for my absence other than life really taking drastic changes and me trying to maneuver in it. (I'll write a post about that later)  I want to know how everyone's has been? What's up?
