Keep That Same Energy

 Hosea 13:6

"When I fed them they were satisfied, when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot Me" 

The scripture is God talking about the Israelites. 

Basically, they didn't keep the same energy they kept when they were asking God to be delivered. 

In many cases, we will see where the Israelites hadn't kept the same energy, but I am not here to focus on them today. 

I'm here to point the light on us. I want us to remember the times,- if there are any when we might not have kept the same energy. 

Now, this slang may be a bit fuzzy for old heads like me, so I would break this down before I go any further. 

Keeping the same energy is like staying consistent with the same attitude or determination you had before you get what it was you were working towards. 

Now that we are all on the same page, have you kept the same energy after you receive that blessing? 

Have you kept the same energy you had before you got that breakthrough?

Or, did you get comfortable? 

As humans, we are constantly in the wanting position. 

That is a fact. 

There's absolutely no one that lives under the sun that doesn't want something every day. 

The only thing that makes us different from one another is what we may want. 

Some people's wants may be big, while others' wants are small, but in the end, we are always working towards something that we want to have. 

Now, when we are currently focused on achieving something we work for it vigorously. 

It's like we are tunnel-minded and we won't look away until what we desire is in our grasp. 

We would pray about it, we will work towards it, and do all that we need to do to achieve it. 

I remember when I  was younger I use to clean and do what I needed to do in the house just because I wanted to go out that weekend and I needed my mother's answer to be yes. 

I didn't care what my mother asked me to do, I was going to do it because going out was what I wanted. 

Now, I am not talking about the before of getting what you want, I am talking about the after. 

I'm talking about what you do after you get the job, or the car. 

I am talking about what you do after you get married or have a child. 

I am talking about what you do after you get that phone or the money. 

The blessing, the breakthrough, or the healing. 

What do you do after?

Do you become satisfied and proud?

Do you forget about the vigorous things you have done before? 

Do you stay in God's face just as you did before He give you what you cried to Him for?

Wow!

This is what I asked when I say do you keep the same energy?

I know what it is to get very lightheaded when you get what you've been praying for so long and you forget to come back down, but we must not forget. 

We must not allow our position in Christ to be only what we can get and then after we have it we turn away only to turn back when we need or want something else. 

How would we feel to have a relationship with someone like that?

Someone who only seeks to get something from us and then disappears. Someone who forgets continuously what we have done for them. 

Today, let's keep the same energy. 

Let's not only be present to receive and not to give. 

Not only with God should this be kept, but even with our brothers and sisters. 

Let us keep the love, respect, and honor for one another.
