God Will Prepare You For The Mission

Ezekial 3:8-9

"But I (God) will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are. I will make your forehead like the hardest stone, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them, though they are rebellious people" 

I want to give you context on this scripture before I move any further. 

In this verse, God was talking to Ezekial about going to the Israelites to prophecy about what is to come.

It showed God fully equipping and ensuring that when Ezekial stepped out to complete this mission he will be more than ready to do it. 

God said that I will make you unyielding and hardened as they are. 

I will make your forehead like a hard stone. 

Basically, God was making sure that he was fully armored and prepared to take on any hits that they may give him. 

God was ensuring that his skin was thick enough to allow the fiery darts to not penetrate. 

His ears and his mind are strong enough that he won't be mentally weakened by the sharp tongue and words that may be spoken to him or about him. 

He was making his heart sustainable to withstand anything that can potentially break it. 

I hear God and He is saying to many of us that we are in or were in the process of preparation. 

What does that mean?

It means there was a reason for those who we were trying to help, to betray us. 

It means there was a reason for those who we call friends and family turning their backs on us. 

It means there was a purpose for our names beings on people's lips negatively. 

It was a reason for those lonely nights. 

It was a reason for the tears. 

It was a reason for the trials and tribulations. 

It was to make us unyielding and hardened. 

It was to make our forehead like the hardest stone, harder than flint. 

It was to make us unafraid of where God is about to take us next!

The mission where we are about to thread, we are going to be more than ready to take it on because we were prepared for it!

People talking about us wouldn't bother us because we are stronger now!

The alone walks on the journey wouldn't discourage us because God has already shown us how to make this trot alone. 

I loved this scripture because I love how God will never carry you anywhere or bring anything to you unless He feels you are ready to take it on. 

He won't allow you to be unprepared and therefore bring disgrace on yourself. 

But, instead, He makes sure you're armor ready!

Don't despise the process. 

Don't hate the preparation part of the journey!

This part is required for assured success in the end.
