I Have A Story- Interactive Poem

Gather around and I will tell you about a star I met
It was peculiar because this star came to me instead

It didn't look unique, but the way it shone was magnificent
Illuminatinated so golden, it changed my future by its presence

This star led me on a path away from the shoreline
On a path that would redeem my time

Build me up, laid me down I became a rock
Too little faith, a missing ear and I messed up with my walk

But every time I turn around this star kept shining
Lighting the way, telling me I'm good enough, although my denying

One day, I would preach about this Star to the His children and those who aren't
I'll tell them about His love that stretches from arm to arm

Some said I was loved roughly, but I feel like I was loved more than enough
Because the moment He left us, I was more than ready, I was made tough

So, listen to my story, I sit with this Star even when His rays were so bright
Listen to my story, and I'll tell you how I went from a fisherman to a church of light

Change The Environment!

  So my husband and I were having a bit of a mosquito problem. I found numerous bumps on my legs, but it puzzled me because I rarely go outside.  Thanks to COVID.  These mosquitos were living in our house. They were surviving in our house.  Now, if you know mosquitos, they require a certain kind of environment to thrive.  They would need a bushy area, preferably with puddles or swamps. So, it puzzled me how they were surviving here in my house where none of those things were. My husband later told me to take out the dishwater before bed. That if they needed water to live, then remove what is helping them.  Change the environment.  I have read that in order to get rid of something, you must change the environment or the atmosphere that it is comfortable in.  Eventually, it will have to move because it will not find a resting place there anymore.  Matthew 12:43-46 speaks on the impure spirit who abided in a person.   I know.   I know.  It's been a long time and so many things have happened that I need to share with you.   There's really no excuse for my absence other than life really taking drastic changes and me trying to maneuver in it. (I'll write a post about that later)  I want to know how everyone's has been? What's up?
