Don't Let It Be Useless

Quit Breakthrough Journey God Godly Quotes TheRayDestiny

 Acts 20:24
"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me- the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace"

I'm currently reading the story or should I say a journey of Apostle Paul and I can't help but admire how passionate and selfless he was when it came to the work of God.

When I read it, I think that the scripture used above is the most accurate and best way, to sum up, his entire life committed to God.

If you read the book of Acts, it is basically the acts of the Apostle. How they spread the word of God around to the Jews and to the Gentiles. The way the Holy Spirit was introduced and so forth, but in the hidden lines of the book, you will also see the journey of Paul.

You will see his fears, his persecution, his redemption, his love, his passion, his ambition, etc.

Apostle Paul was that guy.

Not only is he seen as one of the greatest Apostles, but he represents the struggle of being a fleshly man who wants to serve and do the work of God.

Paul didn't shy away from telling us about his fights and he surely never hid how he overcame them.

I think that is why I admire Paul's work and life.

In this post, I want us to talk about Paul's journey to Jerusalem.

Throughout the story, Paul hinted many times that he would go to Jerusalem to die.

It stated that in verse 23, God showed him about it.

On the journey, other disciples and Apostles tried to dissuade Paul from this journey, but he voluntarily and intentionally went on to Jerusalem despite what awaited him there.

Now for us and any other person who knows how they would be bound and died, we would try to deter or delay our arrival to it, but Paul went happily.

He didn't stop spreading the word of God, despite what God had revealed to him. Instead, Paul became even more active in sharing the good news.

He became so active and persistent that even when he arrived in Jerusalem and Rome and was thrown into prison, he didn't stop sharing the Word of God.

He sent out letters to the churches to share more and to encourage the people of God.

Even in his low and meek place, he continued the work.

He continued to testify.

He continued the task of that which God has given him.

Now imagine if Paul, after spreading the news of God to every province and town in Asia area gave up when he got locked up.

Imagine if he had slowed down and deter away from doing the work of God when he found out the way he would die.

Would he be known as one of the greatest Apostles?

Would he have issued the books that we read today in the bible?

Would he have died and gone on to glory as God's faithful servant who completed the task?

No.

Because, if he had given up before meeting his destiny, then his journey would have become useless.

Everything that he had done would have become redundant.

The man who preached about faith and resurrections along with eternal life, giving up?

Who would believe any word he said before or after that?

Today, I encourage you, my TheRay family, to Do NOT give up!

Keep pressing!

Keep pushing!

Keep going on!

Do not be dissuaded because of the pressure. Do not turn off the path because of the pain or obstacle!

You must complete the task that God has given you.

Don't let the journey become useless.

Don't let the lonely days, the days when you cry and shouted.

Or, the days when they talked about you and lied to you.

Or, even the days when you worked to the bone to get where you are now, go to waste by throwing them away.

Don't quit before you reach your breakthrough.

It states that disciples tried to deter Paul away from destiny.

Don't let anyone deter you from where you need to go.

Trust me, the road of quitting is going to look picturesque when the pressure of the breakthrough is closer, but don't fall for its false image!

It will only lead you right back to the beginning of your journey when you were so close to the end.

Be encouraged today!

I believe that you can make it because you have come this far!
