Keep On Keep On
2 Corinthian 11:3
"But I am afraid that just how Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ"
When I was reading this scripture this verse stood out to me, along with the entirety of it.
It was Paul speaking to the church of Corinth about his fear of them being easily turned away from Christ and the message that he had spoken to them.
I think that this seeming worry is still extended even today in the body of Christ.
In Matthew 24:24, you would see that even Jesus warned his disciple and eventually us about this same thing.
"For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect"
What is very dangerous in both of these warnings wasn't the fear of losing the body of Christ to the obvious ways of the enemy such as sin and so forth, but it was the fear of losing them to false beliefs and religions.
Jesus didn't warn them from drinking and sexual immorality in this verse, nor did Paul warn Corinth about lust and all the other blatant sin, but they gave insight into the truly disguise sin.
The sin that is cloaked as though it is good, but it is rather evil.
It is the worse thing to be entangled in because one thinks they are doing good, but they are actually performing evil.
Isaiah 5:20
"Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light and light for darkness; bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter."
It is a dreadful and almost irreversible stage for one to get to.
Eve assumed she was doing good in becoming like God and caused her lineage.
This is satan's tactic.
To make something evil appeasing to the eyes.
It is the reason his angel parade around as though they are angels of light.
His goal is to persuade and deceive God's children into what is truly right.
What better way than to imitate the kingdom of God and try to persuade us into something that was not preached or spoken in the Bible?
Do not be easily persuaded, God can not be mocked.
Today, I want us to keep on the narrow path.
Keep on the journey of discovering God for ourselves.
Keep on the path of seeking God and following God and only God's command.
There are many different religions and beliefs popping out of the woodwork nowadays.
Of course, we are strong enough to stand against them, but what about the different kinds of doctrines that try to rear its head in the Kingdom of God?
The cultish ways try to take away from serving God in the spirit in truth.
The egocentric performances were done by leaders of a modern belief.
The preaching of inspirational speeches instead of the word.
These are just a few of the many things that are trying to hide in the body of Christ.
Be wise and vigilant in this time.
I am not here to condemn or bash anyone, but I am here to encourage you to stay on the steady and true path.
Keep doing the work of God and what Christ has called you to do.
Don't be fooled or easily deceived.
Keep in God's Word!
Keep it hidden in your heart.
I don't want to scare you, but I want to alert you that it is only going to get worst from here.
The lines of true Christianity are going to get really murky for those who are not anchored in Christ.
How can you be anchored?
I have answered you many times on how and I am not selfish to repeat myself.
Stay in Christ.
Pray for discernment.
Pray for endurance.
Keep on, Keep on.
Don't be discouraged or dismayed.
Don't get tired in well doing.
Remember, the race isn't given to the swiftest, but to he who endures to the end.
Before I go, I want to leave this story with you:
I saw this image the other day with two men each holding a ladder.
On one of the men's ladders, his steps were close together and many to go. The other man's ladder had wide steps and a few to go.
However, the guy with the closer steps that were many was able to reach his steps to climb, but the man whose steps were wide apart couldn't reach the first one.
Its illustration was to show us how important it is to just take baby steps.
No matter how tiny the step may feel to you, or how many it would be, it is still progress in the right direction.
So you may feel like you haven't gotten anywhere or that you should have been at a point already.
Do not forsake the journey.
Sometimes when you try to take that big step, you might miss your footing and land badly.
You may miss the lessons along the way.
There are two parts to this post today and I hope that it doesn't confuse you.
One, do not be easily persuaded. Keep on the right path.
Two, regardless of how slow you may feel on this path you are moving on, keep on going because you will make it.
Keep On.
Keep On.
